Senior Accountant for an Accountant Firm opening in Guatemala

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled and results-oriented, will also play a key role in ensuring the accuracy en efficiency of the client's accounting and tax services. This role will have substantial exposure with clients and will lead and mentor to a team and provide accompaniment and financial insights to the clients. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.


Responsibilities

*Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
*Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close (Accouning & tax reports)
*Manage and mentor staff Accountants, providing guidance and support
*Perform accout reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financtial reports
*Analyze financial and accounting data, and identigy trends to provide insights to clients
*Assist with tax planning and preparation for various tax entities
*Stay updated of current tax laws and accounting standards (US GAAP)
*Mantain internal strong controls and ensure adherence to best practices
*Identify and implement process improvements
*Research and analyze expense variances for company management


Qualifications:

*3 to 5+ years' of professional accounting and financial experience
*Knowledge of US GAAP will be a plus
*High School diploma in Accounting is a must
*CPA preferred
*Advanced English level is a must
*Customer and results oriented
