Your Mission
You will be responsible for ensuring that every imported product meets the highest standards of quality, food safety, and commercial specifications, leading the quality strategy from source to final customer.
You will not simply manage quality processes. You will strategically lead the function to protect the business, the customer, and profitability.
What You Will Do
Lead the quality and food safety strategy for perishable products.
Define quality standards, technical specifications, and inspection protocols.
Make and/or authorize acceptance, rejection, or negotiation decisions regarding critical imports.
Lead internal, external, and supplier/source audits.
Manage complex claims and quality issues with national and international suppliers.
Reduce waste, shrinkage, losses, and costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop quality KPIs, management dashboards, and data-driven tools to support decision-making.
Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team.
Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and applicable sanitary and phytosanitary regulations.
Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Finance to protect business profitability.
The Profile We Are Looking For
University degree in:
Food Engineering
Agroindustrial Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Or a related field.
In addition, you should have:
Proven experience leading Quality functions within the food or perishable products industry.
Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and quality auditing.
Experience managing cold-chain operations, storage, and product inspection.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Strong technical negotiation skills with national and international suppliers.
Solid knowledge of KPIs, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
Professional-level English communication skills for conversations and negotiations with customers and suppliers.
