Bilingual Permitting Coordinator
What You'll Do
Prepare, review, and submit residential solar permit applications
Ensure permit packages are complete, accurate, and meet jurisdictional requirements
Track permit applications from submission through approval
Follow up with municipalities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) regarding permit status and requirements
Maintain accurate project records and update internal tracking systems
Monitor permitting timelines and proactively address potential delays
Communicate permit status, corrections, and outstanding requirements to internal teams
Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Site Survey, Project Management, and Operations to obtain required documentation
Research permitting requirements for new jurisdictions and markets
Assist with resolving rejected applications, corrections, and other permitting issues
Manage multiple projects and jurisdictions while meeting established deadlines
What We're Looking For
Fluent in English and Spanish, written and verbal, required
Previous experience in permitting, construction administration, project coordination, or a related role
Residential solar experience preferred
Familiarity with construction plans, permit applications, or technical project documentation
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage a high volume of projects and competing priorities
Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
Professional communication skills when working with AHJs and internal teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, and web-based applications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with residential solar permitting
Experience working directly with U.S. municipalities and AHJs
Familiarity with U.S. residential construction or electrical permitting
Experience supporting projects across multiple jurisdictions or states
Experience with permitting portals and project management platforms
